Romantic 14k rose gold pendant, adorned with a 4 mm in diameter round tourmaline. Known for their color, tourmalines are a perfect as a gift of love, such as an anniversary or Valentine's Day.
This necklace is handcrafted at the KLENOTA jewelry studio in Prague and it comes with a chain made of the same metal in a standard length of 16.5 inches (42 cm, unless otherwise stated). If you require a different length or type of chain, please state this in a note when you make your order. Tourmaline jewelry
Tourmalines are the world's most colorful gemstones. Although they stand out for their relatively high hardness of 7.5 and a distinctive luster, they are relatively fragile stones.
COLOR: Some of the best known are dark pink rubellites, green verdelites or blue indigolites. Pink tourmalines, which are the lighter color varieties of rubellites, are particularly popular.
CUT: The most common type of cut used for tourmalines is the round or oval. It is also attractive in less traditional cuts such as the teardrop, cushion and emerald when set into designer rings and necklaces.
WEIGHT: The weight of tourmalines, as with other gemstones, is expressed in carats (ct) to 2 decimal places - 1 ct = 0.20 g. With earrings and jewelry which have multiple tourmalines, we always state the total number of carats of all the stones.
CARE: This stone tends to attract dust, so it’s a good idea to clean it regularly. Clean tourmalines with a soft brush in warm soapy water. Do not expose them to sudden changes in temperature since this could damage them and leave any thorough treatments to professionals.
