How long does it take to craft KLENOTA rings?
Shipping date varies according to the selected ring size. Rings marked as "in stock" are available in select sizes, ready to be dispatched. If we don’t have your size in stock, we’ll contact you, and upon your approval, our goldsmiths will begin crafting your ring.
We typically make rings within 2–3 weeks, depending on the specific model. Rings with engravings or custom sizes generally require an additional week. Once your order is confirmed, we will inform you of the estimated shipping date.
Ready orders are shipped within 2 business days. Each ring comes in a complimentary gift box.
Need your ring by a specific date? Contact us in advance or add your desired delivery timeframe to the order notes, and we’ll contact you with further details.
Ring resizing
Your first ring resizing is free of charge within 60 days of purchase for unworn rings. Please note that we do not cover any associated shipping costs.
- Our specialists will assess whether the adjustment is technically feasible or if a new ring needs to be created in the required size, taking into account various factors specific to the ring’s design.
- If the ring has been worn (even minimally), was ordered in a non-standard size, or has an engraving, any adjustments are evaluated on an individual basis.
How to get your ring resized
In person in Prague
- Prepare the ring in its original box, along with the KLENOTA certificate and any international certificates.
- Bring everything to our studio at Bílkova 19, Prague. Please note that our staff speaks Czech and English only.
By mail
- Let us know that you'd like to get your ring adjusted. Certain designs cannot be resized (such as eternity rings), so we can discuss some of your options in advance. We'll then note your request in our system and wait for your package to arrive.
- Fill out the exchange and return form, specifying both the original and new size.
- Carefully pack the ring in its original box, including the KLENOTA certificate and any international certificates, and send it with the completed form to one of the following return addresses based on what's more convenient for your location. Once the package is sent, please let us know.
- Keep in mind that we do not cover any associated shipping costs.
If you choose the US address, please allow additional time for processing, as the package will then be shipped from the US to our main Czech address where all returns and exchanges are processed.
Our specialists will determine the optimal method to adjust the ring while preserving its original character, ensuring that the stones remain secure and avoiding any future damage. We’ll inform you of the chosen process and the delivery time for the adjusted ring.
Deciding between two ring sizes?
Usually it’s easier to increase a ring’s size by 1–2 sizes than to reduce it. If you’re not sure, we recommend choosing the smaller size. For wider and chunkier rings (5 mm or more), which tend to fit more snugly, we suggest selecting a slightly larger size.
Please note that resizing a ring by more than a few sizes is often not feasible, nor are repeated adjustments. Choose your rings with confidence by visiting your nearest jeweler to get your accurate sizing.
Professional ring sizing
Measuring your ring size at a jewelry store is quick, easy and gives you complete confidence in your purchases. Take a look at the tools professionals use to give you the most accurate sizing.
- Using a ring mandrel: Bring a well-fitting ring with you to measure its exact size on a metal jeweler's mandrel.
- Using a metal ring sizer: A professional ring sizer allows you to easily try on and compare all ring sizes.
How to measure your ring size at home
You can estimate your ring size at home, though these methods do not produce accurate results. Ideally, you already have a well-fitting ring available for measurements. Without one, you can only approximate, so visiting a jeweler is still recommended.
- Measure the ring with a ruler: Place a well-fitting ring on a ruler and measure its inner diameter, then compare it with the size chart below. Alternatively, trace the inside of the ring on paper and measure the diameter.
- Use a string or ribbon: Wrap a piece of string, ribbon, dental floss, or paper strip around your finger, marking where the ends meet, roughly at the center of your finger. Measure the marked length with a ruler.
- Use a ring sizer: Tighten the ring sizer so it fits snugly but can still slip over the knuckle. Try putting it on and taking it off as you would with a real ring.
- Use our size chart: Print out our size chart, ensuring the printed scale is accurate by measuring the black circle. Place a well-fitting ring over the circles and find a match for its inner diameter.
All of these methods are approximate and can often result in measurements 2–3 sizes off from what you actually need.
How to measure ring size secretly
Measure their well-loved ring
Secretly borrow your partner's favorite ring and take it to a jeweler to check the size with a sizing mandrel, which takes just a moment. Alternatively, print a size chart and find the matching size, or trace its inner diameter onto paper and measure it.
If you're shopping for engagement rings, make sure that the ring you borrowed is actually worn on your partner's ring finger.
Don't be afraid to ask
Ask friends or family for help. They might let your partner try on their own rings for comparison, or take them jewelry shopping, giving you an idea of both their size and taste. We do not recommend methods such as measuring their finger while they're sleeping, as this produces highly inaccurate results.
TIP: If none of these methods work, don’t hesitate to ask directly! The ring itself, along with the joy of giving it to your loved one, can still create a delightful moment for both of you to look forward to.
