Warranty and claims

All of our jewelry comes with a 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date you received your order. We are also available to maintain your beloved jewelry even outside the warranty period.

What does our warranty cover?

Our jewelry is hand-crafted by dedicated professionals and all of the materials used undergo thorough quality control. All jewelry is marked with Czech hallmarks regulated by the state Assay Office, proving the materials meet current European standards. 

We carefully examine all claims and if we determine your jewelry is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it free of charge and also cover the associated shipping costs. If we determine otherwise or your jewelry is outside the warranty period, we will notify you to discuss paid repair services and other options.

Our warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear, such as scratches, bent or deformed rings and ring components
  • discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, cosmetic products, swimming pools, your medication or current health condition
  • allergic reactions to gold and precious metals
  • damage caused by improper use, cleaning or storage
  • product loss or damage caused by another jeweler

How to make a claim on your warranty?

  1. Complete the claims form.
  2. Include the following items in your package:
      -   the jewelry in the original packaging (box)
      -   the KLENOTA Certificate of Authenticity
      -   if applicable, any international certificates (from GIA, IGI, or HRD)
      -   the claims form
  3. Send the package to one of the following return addresses based on what's more convenient for you:

If you choose the US address, please allow additional time for processing, as the package will then be shipped from the US to our main Czech address where all returns are processed. Do not send the package as 'cash on delivery': we are not obligated to accept the package.

Within 3 business days of receiving the package we will examine the products and notify you of our conclusion. Once the claim is approved, we will resolve the issue and remove any defects as quickly as possible (within 30 days at the latest). You will be informed via email once the process is complete.

Jewelry care

With proper care, fine jewelry can last a lifetime. While gold and diamonds can withstand a lot of wear and tear, some precious stones or pearls are more prone to damage than others. Please take this into consideration when wearing your jewelry during activities with a higher risk of causing damage or scratches. In particular we recommend removing your jewelry when swimming, gardening, cooking, handling aggressive chemical substances and participating in sports.
